Accounting Support (2023 - Present)

At PSPC, I worked in the Procurement Support Services Sector, contributing to multiple projects that supported pricing transparency, procurement policy, and financial analysis. My responsibilities ranged from maintaining the evergreen Pricing Guide to researching industry benchmarks, designing tools, and supporting departmental policy updates.

One of my key contributions was to the Rate Card project, where I collaborated on building a searchable database of contract rates, improving transparency, and setting a new departmental standard. Beyond this, I played a major role in policy research and benchmarking, helping update internal pricing guidance and ensuring financial data used in procurement was accurate and reliable. I also streamlined reporting processes by integrating ERP/database inputs into Excel templates and leveraged AI tools to code solutions, strengthen database processes, and generate fresh analytical perspectives.

This experience helped me develop strong skills in financial analysis, data management, and procurement policy research, while also teaching me how to balance technical detail with practical guidance for end users.

Junior Data Analyst

For my second co-op term, I joined Statistics Canada as a Junior Data Analyst, working at the Ottawa Tunney’s Pasture campus under the Globalization Measurement section, International Accounts and Trade Division (IATD). This was my first time working in the public sector,

I worked on projects that analyzed the operations of multinational enterprises (MNEs) and trade characteristics. My main role was handling large datasets, validating them for accuracy, and conducting research to support economic publications. I supported the production and release of two major statistical programs: TEC & TIC (Trade in Exports and Imports of Commercial Services) and AMNE (Activities of Multinational Enterprises). I worked closely with economists and data scientists to manage large datasets and ensure accuracy in reporting.

During this term, I gained hands-on experience with SAS Enterprise Guide, where I learned basic SQL querying techniques to analyze and extract data. This role taught me how data drives government policy and economic insight, and it strengthened both my technical and analytical thinking. My experience at Statistics Canada helped shape my interest in data-driven work and laid a strong foundation for future opportunities in finance, data, and public service.

Office Associate – Business Development

My first co-op placement was with N-Able Technologies, a private IT company with global operations.

I worked in a business development support role at their Ottawa office, where I helped manage client relationships and maintain the accuracy of data within Salesforce (CRM). My work involved cleaning and organizing CRM data, researching potential leads, and supporting outreach through email, phone, and direct client communication. In addition to improving data integrity, I contributed to weekly and monthly reporting for management, providing insight into performance trends and supporting planning decisions. I also assisted with administrative work and ad-hoc projects, which allowed me to adapt quickly to new tasks and strengthen my problem-solving skills.

This role gave me strong experience in CRM systems, communication, and client relationship management, while also showing me how data and communication work together to drive business development.
